Some work have been done. An effort to stem the tide from reclaiming its rights. Like hoping for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Too little too late ?

Pulau Kapas - Keeping it clean

There seems to be a good system of maintaining the waste from the island. Garbage boats (as opposed to garbage truck - duhhh) come and takes it all away. If only the visitors (some) were more conscious as there were food wrappings left indiscriminately on the beach. Idiots.

Open spaces

Road pictures taken at speed - only the first road picture was taken from behind tinted windscreen.

Snakes - Sungai Congkak

Rush, rush, rush before the place is invaded by humans...

Phew, made it. (See its tail ? )

A second one appears. A bit smaller but a bit faster than the bigger one. This is taken at Sungai Congkak early this morning. The rest of the crowd did not notice, as the snake got closer to a lady sitting on a rock, I calmly told her to lift her feet out of the water. She asked why ? I said, seems like a school of fish wants to pass through...

Most likely these critters follow the same habit its landed counterpart has as mentioned in my other post. So to those getting into the streams in the early hours, be aware of your surroundings. They will not attack unless if you step on them or block their ways etc. I think...

Open top & rain

Open top motoring certainly is fun. The wind in your hair, the wide expanse unhindered from view all around, the different smells as you pass by different areas. A sensorial experience. But...

Just like those bikers, as the cloud darkens and the air gets cooler you sense that soon you will be wet. Decision, decision, do you close the top now or just go through the patch - hopefully it is indeed just a patch of rain. If it is, just raise the side windows and go at considerable speed and the water will be sucked by the turbulence away from you. No problemo. But...

If it was not just a patch, you risk getting wet and looking like a fool by the roadside as you wait for the interminable 25 seconds that it takes for the roof to properly close.

A most colourful house

A most colourful house in its final stages of construction. Bright cheerful (garish ?) colours adorning the walls and floors. Purples, reds, pinks, yellows and orange. Such a gamut for the senses.

Fortunately, it has a lot of potential in its surroundings. Great vistas right out of the balconies and windows, to soothe in contrast to all the warm tones. I'm certain that those who dwell here will be content and happy.

Alternative medicine.

One of my uncle had the misfortune of suffering from multiple maladies. His intestines is suspected of ulcerations and his gall bladder has stones. This after multiple heart operations which led to his aversion to be hospitalised. Went to a clinic, got a handful of pills and he just endured the pain.

Until someone mentioned that perhaps he should try alternative procedures instead. We went to a place in Sentul where his diagnostic is exactly as the doctor from the clinic said it was. Two operation is required, both will take only ten minutes at a cost of RM3,600.00 each. An appointment was made to have it done the following day. The consultation and some pain killers and laxatives (he hasn't gone for a couple days...) cost RM100.00.

Someone else suggested to go to Setapak for removal of the stone. We did, the stone was removed in a couple minutes at a cost of only RM600.00 plus some herbal medication. Now, I do not intend to be advocating this methodology but my uncle is now fine, regular and is no longer in pain. If it works....

Anyway, my uncle is fine, only thing is, the cost is not covered by his medical insurance nor is he able to claim on it.

attached is the pix that i told u, plastics, plastic containers, ropes, diapers, ciggy butts, ....even a small size electrical board!

it doesn't matter whether it came from rivers due to heavy rain lately or even it is purely done by manusia

if every each of the visitor take 5 mins doing cleaning up i'm sure our beach will be wonderful

my 2 kids joined me to do the collecting job but unfortunately others just looking aje, "eh mamak ni kutip harta karun ke?" yg pengunjung tu lagi kow dahan & daun pokok yg dikutip, kakaka

The above picture and excerpt of email is from a friend advocating that every visitor to the beach take some time to help clean the environment. At the very least, to pick their own rubbish and any that are in their vicinity. Its really sad when everyone takes things for granted and hope for the problem to be tackled by some one else. Kudos to Dennis.
