Another week or so to turn red, sweet and juicy...
Mangosteen too, turning to hard dark purplish with dark brown five segment star on the bottom. White, cool, sweet with a hint of sourness. The only fruit that I truly enjoy without refrigeration. For me other fruit taste better after it is cooled in the fridge, not this one.
Peek a boo. Where are you ?
Here... durian the king of fruits.

Capt... where is this place?
Perhaps we need a trip to the orchard rather than seafood outing. We really need something healthier for a change.
If that is your dusun, I will love to go there even without invitation...
Ah yes... mangosteens do not need refrigeration to taste good. When you put it in your mouth, there is a certain cool feeling to it. So good on a hot afternoon. :)
This is in Linggi, not really a dusun, just a few trees around the house. 3 or 4 a a time maybe my auntie can accommodate...jom.

Nasib baik dapat rasa masa balik hari tu!
Oh! you cruel, cruel man! Stop making me crave for local stuff. hahaha
Do you know I once paid USD4.50 for 4 mangosteens (something like that)? Terrible huh? What to do lah... when I saw it, I could not resist buying some. Every bit of the fruit (minus the skin) was eaten with appreciation. :)
