Colek-colek @ Bachok

Great snacking by the beach...

Laksam @ Melor

Tasty, tangy, scrumptious and filling roadside snack along the main thoroughfare that cuts across Melor in Kota Bharu. Goes really well with iced cendol packed with sweet fermented tapioca and glutinous rice.
If you are really adventurous, the laksam will taste even better (so they say) enjoyed with a side condiment of prawn paste commonly known as belacan... raw.

Tasek Raban

Pristine, tranquil green surroundings. Excellent facilities. Traffic is low so most of the shops were empty. We only stopped to use the loo.

G9 in low light

Not bad actually, especially the first one at ISO 100 and long exposure. The second one's white balance is off I think.

Shangri-La PutraJaya

The wife wanted to go to Kuantan, the kids just wanted to get away and I dread the thoughts of joining the holiday traffic, not to mention risk being another statistic in "Ops Sikap". It was finally decided to take up the Chinese New Year offer from Shang-ri La Putrajaya. Its only half an hour from home, a boutique hotel set on the hills in the administration capital.

3 days and 2 nights of lazing around the pool, in a low density destination. Excellent. Total cost for 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 kids including a dinner and 2 breakfast was less than RM1k. Good value, stress free travel, pristine and quiet surroundings. Highly recommended.
