First time for me. Thought it was easy but for the first hour or so I keep inhaling salt water. Once I got the hang of it, the fun begins. Sadly most of the corals seem to be dying and fishes are not as abundant as I imagined it to be. The destruction (construction works) of the marine parks made it worse.

The 3 day two night trip via road/sea to Tioman cost my family less than RM2,000.00 inclusive of transport, meals, comfortable chalet and snorkeling at three location. Excellent and highly recommended, but don't chew on the local foliage as they do not have any medicinal values... he he he.

Pancakes by the beach

Remember how hungry you get after frolicking in the water ? These are great stuff, fruit pancakes (they ran out of ice cream), chocolate pancakes and curry puffs enjoyed on the edge of the beach in Tioman. Its not really a restaurant, more a nice stall under a shady tree.

If you find yourself in Kampung Air Batang in Tioman, its worth a try.
